So happy with this, it just does everything. Sold most of my analog pedals and kept a select few high quality analog. I'm pretty much done for the next couple of years.
It all started with me missing my Bogner XTC amp, which I sold some years ago. This gets me very very close. The Marshall has...
I actually like them, can get great tones out of them. In fact I can get great tone out of most stuff... Does that make me special? No not at all, I just believe that gear needs the right circumstances to be good.
SO that being said, I think 50's wiring is the secret sauce to opening these up...
Love em!
Fender has really stepped up their game recently IMO, these have features that are usually only found on USA guitars and the fit & finish is amazing. I would really like to own a 'real' USA strat one day but right now I'm good :D
I did own a Professional Telecaster before but I sold it...
Got it because it was cheap, never expected to like it so much. I crank it with a captor though, into a Greenback IR otherwise it's nothing special.
I would dare to say it fills my Plexi needs, that clean to breakup sound is sooo good, no other amp really does that IMHO. I owned a Vintage Modern...
Been wondering one thing since using digital modeling technology in my home studio:
In a traditional guitar/amp setup you have the 3 main components that will make up almost all of the sound: guitar -> amp -> speaker
But when going digital/modeling I see a difference: guitar -> preamp/modeler...
I love tube amps but man they can be difficult sometimes, especially when you play High gain stuff. Yeah I could turn the gain back down but then I won't have the fluid feel anymore, i gets so dry and thin. I don't like fighting the guitar and the amp. I want them to do the work! ;) Am I lazy...
Hello guys, I managed to get a pair of these and I like them a lot.
When I tried to find more info on the pickups and the correct way of wiring (how they are intended to be wired at least) I could not find much info to my surprise.
I love Gibson guitars and I hope they found the way back into...
I want to add a buffer pedal to my board to battle some 'tone suck' that is happening most likely because of my Joyo switcher. I feel that despite using an isolated power supply and good cables I still get a dullness in the sound that can be fixed with a good buffer.
The plan is to use it as a...
Re: Jet City JCA22H Custom tweak thread
Did the choke mod, tightens things up and improves bass response. The difference is subtle though noticeable. I can turn up the bass all the way without getting mud.
I prefer JJ EL84 power tubes and a tung sol in V1, the rest I could hardly tell if...
I hope someone can help me with understanding how the strat middle pickup works.
The way I understand it is that in a regular configuration with the middle pickup reverse wound AND reversed polarity it will give positions 2 and 4 on a 5 way switch the hum cancelling tones. I am not sure as to...
