I'm thinking of replacing the bridge pickup of my 57/62 set, but want to use my existing bridge pickup cover to keep the set color matched perfectly. Will this work ?
Are the Duncan Strat single coil pickups built the same as Fender single coils with regard to wind direction and magnet polarity ? Specifically, is the Duncan Custom Flat Strat bridge pickup a 100% drop-in replacement for the typical Fender bridge pickup.
Can the pickup covers on SD single coil pickups (specifically the Custom Flat Strat bridge p/u) be removed and replaced with Fender s/c pickup covers so as to match the neck and middle pickup covers ?
Re: The SDUG ULTIMATE AXE CHAMPIONSHIP !!!!!
Wish I would have seen this thread sooner...I've been out of the States awhile. I would have taken a better pic of my Hamer Sunburst with Duncan '59's installed and entered it :
Given that humbuckers are louder (about 2x greater signal output) than single coils, but like 500K vs. 250K control pots, I'm wrestling with the best way to adapt a bridge humbucker to one of the Strats I have. Using a seperate volume control for the h/b would be one way, but I don't really want...
