I owned one of these (same color) in 1979 and always regretted selling it. Found one on Ebay for 400 plus shipping. It is in great shape for a 36 year old guitar. Needs a cleanup but in overall great shape. Need to put it through it's paces next.
Re: NGD this Friday
Got it today, it is almost perfect. Not a scratch on it, just needs a clean up and string change. It does have push pull pots. I gave it a quick drive through a Blues Deluxe and was pretty happy with what I heard.
Here are a couple of pics
Bought a 1997 Epi Del Rey from a GC in Tennessee, should be to the Columbus GC on Friday. Here is the pic from their site. 275 bones. Can't wait to get my hands on it
Re: Building a cigar box guitar
I am thinking I am going to cut a notch out on the bridge side of the box and extend the internal support plank out of the cut . This will let me move the bridge a little further away from the neck. If I do this it will be 3.5" from the beginning of the bridge...
First time building any guitar, so this should be interesting. Here are the parts, went with an All Parts Tele neck, SD Little 59 , and an All Parts top wound Tele Bridge. Just finished staining and polying the neck, need to take a pic of it.
For my 52nd birthday yesterday I picked up a JBL Eon 210, some stands, a boom mic stand, and a Sennnheiser mic. Time to take my little pickup band into serious. :eek1:
I love it, haven't put it through it's paces yet, but what I have done makes me very happy. Came from the factory setup the way I like it. The flame is pretty sweet. I am amazed at the quality and finish for 375 bucks!
Ordered a Hamer XT Sunburst Flametop w/Wilkinson Trem
Should have it in a few days, always wanted a Hamer DC, fell in love with this beauty

Got my son this Epi LP last year and he has pretty much stopped playing, so I grabbed it for a while. Gonna swap out the stock pups, Seth at the neck, Distortion at the bridge. A little science experiment. The guitar plays great!
