I Love my Squier Affinity Tele partscaster. Mine has been stripped with a heat gun. Neck refinished in Laquer.Bridge pickup is from a MIJ 52 Broadcaster RI. Then when I got it I added Schaller tuners and 50s wiring with allparts pots.

Rough A3? It sucks my SG is batwing and requires a crap ton of work( vs regular pickup rings) or Id buy an assortment of mags and just try a bunch.

Yes actually it did come from a USA Washburn. Dont know the model. I gutted it for the Duncans and Schaller tuners and traded the rest to a freind.

Maybe try a compressor on his bass. I know we have had a problem with our bass player playing too loud and I notice certain notes are much worse than others.

AGREED! On my SG I top wrap and then i raise the stop bar up and listen as I go in increments. With it this way I get more string contact with the tail and less break angle which seams to make the action less stiff.

I have a black back pickup I just put in the neck of my budget Charvel desolation. It had single conductor shielded lead. Measured in the low 7k.range and had long pickup ears. The forum determined.months ago it is most likely a 59. In the neck it definetly sounds like an paf. Special?? I dunno...

From a quick look it looks like that is a handwired version of the AC15. I dont nessasarily believe handwired is any tonal advantage over a pcb. But it does make repairs and mods much easier and there is no chance of a cracked or burned pcb or other things like pcb mounted tube sockets over...

Yea like I said mostly a precaution the ground loop thing. But also dont want the braided line hitting a hot and grounding out.
