Yea its an old one. Only hot/ground and a sheild so no split.
So ya think swap hot and ground on the Super? Will that effect its tone by itself? Cause it sounds killer in 1 position.
For the boxyness. Try cutting a couple sheets of thin road case foam and line the cab.

And I know in tuned enclosures stuffing makes the speaker think its in a larger box.
If ya dont like it pull it back out.

Im loving the late 70s early 80s hard rock the bridge gives. And the middle has kinda a Kenny Wayne Sheperdish tone. 1 3 4 and 5 sound good.

Its a 2001 Classic series 70s strat.
The neck dont sound bad under gain.

Ive got .022 orange drops in my two SGs and Charvel( prs'ish looking bolt neck import guitar) A ceramic .022 in my LP Jr, Ceramic .022 in my HSS strat, vintage poly cap I had in my Tele.
Honestly I dont think the type really makes a differance in a passive circuit like a guitar, value does make...

New parchment pickguard, parchment plastic kit, new Fender CTS pots and CRL 5 way, push back wire(cept pup leads) New Callaham vintage trem.
Set it all up and slotted the nut( they had replaced it and never slotted it)
So I had to take a drive to a friends to borrow some push back wire to finish a project.
Upon getting there he has me play his new parts caster with EMGs. I liked it through his little modeler amp.

It has a weird metalic sounding artifact to it. Like a nasty chorus exists in the back of your tone.
I used to use it to quiet my P90s...
But now I just step on my tuner befor and after songs to silence the hum.
