problem from magnet swap. Need help with diagnosis

Inspired by a thread on this board, I recently acquired a set of A4 magnets, and installed them into a Duncan JB and a Duncan 59, in a Prestige Musician Pro that I own. I initially tried to de-solder the pickup covers, instead of just using a utility knife to cut through the solders, which is...

Question re: grounding Vintage for Tele to a 4-way switch

I know that I need to dis-connect a "jumper" that connects the cover to the ground, and then connect that to a wire to gorund on the volume pot. To be certain, do I disconnect it in the middle, or off on the side? I am guessing in the middle, although I don't see where it connects to the cover.

Favorite Seymour Duncan loaded axes you have!

Re: Favorite Seymour Duncan loaded axes you have! Here is a spectrum of Seymour's sound. The bridge pup in the ASAT is a Tom Anderson; the rest are Duncans. And, yes, I have more.

    NGD (and more Duncans)

Well, it isn't "new", and it isn't the "day". It's a 1988 ES-335 that I received on March 18, my birthday. One look and listen convinced me that the Lawrence "Original Humbuckers" (both Rhythm) had to go, so did the pots, and the body needed some work. Two months later, the nitro is dried and...

What I would imagine is a pretty common swap...

...I have a Prestige Musician Pro with an SH1-59 and an SH4-JB. It is a wonderful semi-hollow body guitar (great value, I might add), and I am thinking about trying out a pair of SP-90s in it. I'm thinking this has to be a pretty common swap, if not on this particular guitar, on others. Based...

    slide players...

Re: slide players... When I first started palying slide, I had try to learn how to make them. The one of the far right is super straight and very thick; too thick and too heavy, unfortunately. I have settled in with Dunlop 210s. When they break, I just order more of 'em!

    Let's see your Duncans!

Here is my current lineup (electrics). 4 guitars; 9 pickups; 8 pickups by Duncan. Who can spot the outlier? Hint: It is a Tom Anderson pickup. [/IMG]

    NGD this past Friday

I took delivery of a Prestige Musician Pro. Tons of up-scale features in a modestly priced guitar. And I am now up to 6 Duncans, total. 3 in the Strat (SSL-1s and a 5 in the bridge), an old Vintage Stack in the ASAT, and 2 humbuckers in this Prestige guitar, which was a big reason I selected it...

    Help with an ID, please

I just purchased a 1991 G&L ASAT, from someone who was selling it for a deceased friend. He told me that it had a Duncan in the neck. The pup has the typical chrome tele cover and the phrase "XN1" on the bottom. Does anyone know what I am dealing with? Thanks in advance.
