Hello all. I’ve been trying to find a wiring diagram for the spin a split mod. HSS setup, no load tone pot, 5 way super switch. The diagrams I’ve found give me an approximation on the stock switch. I don’t want to use a dpdt switch like I’ve done in the past due to cosmetic reasons.

Has anyone modded their Rat for less bottom end? I love the character of my Rat but the flubbiness and farting when used with my Les Paul is too much. Overwhelming. Is their a value mod that will substantially decrease the flub? When I hit a chord the signal drops and then comes back.

Just dropped a set of DMT humbuckers in the Les Paul. The Nostalgia for the neck and the Equalizer for the bridge. Excellent pickups. They have a similar Duncan vibe and feel and are pretty far from the Dimarzio character. The Nostalgia has an almost Pearly Gates feel to it and the Equalizer...

Re: De-Aired my Air Classic Hers is what the Air slugs look like. Tapered off. That helps provide the extra space for all four of the rubber rings.

And it's awesome 👌🏼 Replaced the Air slugs with old regular Dimarzio slugs, and added an old Dimarzio spacer. Not that the Air Classic is lacking. Compared to it de-aired though it's just a different animal. One they should've continued to offer. No regrets on this mod!

What does the BJ mean for this Full Shred?

Received some old unpotted Dimarzios yesterday. Potted them last night with 80/20 paraffin and beeswax and wired them up today. This PAF/Super Distortion combo just continues to prove itself.

Trying to get this old Hamer Dimarzio back into service. The 50mm base plates are slightly too wide. Probably a 49? Thoughts?
