Modding a pedal to work as a momentary one... Can this be done?

Hey. I've got a reissued DOD 440 Filter pedal that I really like. It sounds great and I love the funky sounds I can get from it, but I was wondering if there's a way I can replace the true bypass latching switch for an unlatching one... so that the effect is only on when my foot is pressing...

Companies that are dishonest about true bypass.

I bought an MXR Submachine fuzz pedal recently. While I love it, the box, websites, and demo videos advertise that it is true bypass, however the back of the user's manual says that it is buffered bypass in the specs. When I tested the pedal in person, I discovered that it is not true...

Where do you put a pedal in a chain, if it does more than one thing?

I just bought that new MXR Submachine Fuzz pedals. It is a fuzz, clean octave down, and octavia up sound all in one pedal. It sounds great. Reminds me of the Smashing Pumpkins "Cherub Rock" sound. But where would you put a pedal like this in a chain with a Pitchblack tuner pedal, a DOD 440...

How do you guys prefer to sell your gear?

When it's time to downsize your guitar/amp inventory, what's the best way to sell it off? Ebay, Craigslist, Used Music Store, Garage Sale, etc...?

Time for another Show Your Pedal Board thread!

Re: Time for another Show Your Pedal Board thread! I use the board with the Octave Down pedal for a bunch of different sounds. Keep trying to top the Crunch Box and Blues Pro pedals, but the MI pedals always seem to sound the best for my needs. Glow in the dark tape on the Boss pedals to...

Non tone related questions about guitar woods...

Which fretboard wood is the easiest to clean? (Someone told me maple is the easiest to clean, then ebony is 2nd easiest to maintain, and that rosewood is hardest to clean) Which guitar body wood is the most durable, least likely to get beat up, chipped, or dented? Which are easiest to...

Tonepros Locking Roller Brdige Versus "Made In China" Locking Roller Bridge...

Tonepros Locking Roller Brdige Versus "Made In China" Locking Roller Bridge... There's a huge difference in price on these bridges on ebay. They're both Locking Roller Bridges, but one is Tonepros and one is Made in China. Tonepros = $87 Made in China = $6 What accounts for the price...

    T Rex Tonebug Pedals...

I know they came out a few years ago, but I think they look pretty cool. For those of you who've tried them, do you think they sound good? Are they durable? I'm particularly curious about their distortion and overdrive pedals.

    Pedal connector cables...

Those 6 inch pedal connector cables come in all sorts of price ranges. Is there really a 20 dollar difference in sound from Hosa, Fender, D'Addario, Live Wire, Planet Waves, Mogami 6 inch couplers? Gold jacks, metal jacks, neutrik, etc... Do you believe you get what you pay for with this...

    Cabinet emulators instead of amps?

Just saw this video for ADA GS-2 Cabinet emulator DI box... http://youtu.be/OzppX8OdXeU I pretty much just play through a clean amp with a pedalboard anyway, so I'm wondering if something like this or the Sansamp GT-2 would be essentially be the same thing. Could someone effectively sell off...

Are Boss and Line 6 the only companies that make a Flanger pedal with tap tempo?

I'd really like to find a Flanger pedal with a tap tempo switch, or a tap tempo input. It would be cool to have it synced to my delay pedal. Any others out there besides the Boss and Line 6 ones?

Re: I don't think anyone makes my dream guitar... Well, it looks like Ibanez might be the ticket. I found this FR320 Ibanez Tele, and it seems to meet all my specs Maybe I'll try one...

I don't think anyone makes my dream guitar...

I don't think they make a guitar that fits my preference, or if they do, I haven't found it. Something simple in design, but with some specific features. I guess I'm picky, but if I could design my own guitar, here would be the specs: -6 string -Mahogany Body -Mahogany or Maple neck -Rosewood...
