1/4 pounders vs Texas Specials

I'm hearing the 1/4 lber's are somewhat gritier and sweeter
any truth to the rumor ?
also, how would they stack up with a little 59 ?
reason I'm asking , I have a 59 in bridge and want to put the 1/4 lber's in mid and neck.
or would it be better to put in all three ?

QP vs Texas Special... the QPs are warmer and fuller. The TSs don't have the girth the QPs do but they have a little more "sizzle" on the top end. I wouldn't call either one "sweet." Both have a rudeness to the tone that I like.

Texas Specials are fantastic pickups bro. The 1/4 pounders are rounder in my opinion. In neck position I don't think they sound as good as Texas Specials. For bridge they will sound fuller & rounder. QP bridge & Texas Specials sound like a fantastic combo.
