1 humbucker, 1 on/on switch, for coil splitting

Hey guys, so I had a thread asking people about how to use a three way blade switch to access both coils of a humbucker, and get it in series. I was going to do the plan but due to complications I'm now trying to see if I can use an on/on mini switch to go from the full humbucker, to coil split. I know one of you will say just use a push/pull pot but I really would like to make the mini toggle switch idea happen. it's a regular small on/on switch with three slugs on the back. Smart people do your thing!

Three lugs, so it's a SPDT switch? If it's a Duncan, put red/white together on the center post and ground on one of the outside lugs and leave the other outside lug empty, not connected to anything.

THIS Makes total sense. so if i had the ground wire from the top lug, would that mean if the switch is pointing up that's when it'll be coil split?

Easy to test, but I would assume the lug position is opposite the switch position. Slider switches are the only ones I'm aware of where the switch tip is in the same position as the lugs.

worse comes to worse I'll flip the jackplate where the switch is ;p also could this three lugged SPDT switch be used as a kill switch? kill_switch.jpg
here they show six lugs but could I just do the same thing with three? I.E: Master Vol connected to the middle lug, middle lug to hot output, then the bottom lug to the sleeve. and then instead of having the ground wire connect to the volume pot i connect it also to the sleeve?

Master vol output to middle lug of switch.
Top lug of switch to hot/tip of jack.
Bottom lug of switch to sleeve of jack.
Sleeve of jack to ground.
