1 meg or 500k vol. for 1 HB and 1 vol. setup?

I'm frankenstratting an old Squier and just putting in 1 bridge humbucker and 1 volume knob (no tone control). Not sure what value of volume control to get. Thanks.

A 1000K pot with a miniswitch to activate a 1000K resistance unit. If active you'd get 500K!
