18 years later, I'm getting my Brobucker

Pretty excited about my latest pickup purchase (and it'll be up to 6 weeks before it get here). I always regretted not participating in the original Brobucker run 18 years ago. I've seen some come and go in the Trading Post over the years, but always passed on them for one reason or another. Recently I've had the itch to change things up and set up my mahogany strat with a single humbucker. I was bouncing back and forth between a few "hot PAF" pickups and decided it was time to finally get a Brobucker.

There's nothing particularly special about this one. It's not identical to the first Brobucker run in that I ordered trembucker spacing and didn't specify bobbin color or a logo under the cover.

The pickguard it's going into has a single push/pull volume pot and is wired as a split with a treble bleed on the split side of the push/pull. Otherwise, it's a simple 1 pickup, 1 knob set up.

One of the greater PAF-type bridge pickups from Duncan. I don't know if it would need a treble bleed only when split, but I haven't been able to split mine, it's 2-conductor.

That's just how the guard is currently wired up. That guard currently has a Duncan Distortion in it and I was experimenting with versatility in a single pickup guitar. I gave up the experiment when I concluded that I just didn't like the Distortion, and it's been sitting around as a loaded pickguard collecting dust for a couple years.

there was two options for the initial run, std spaced or trembucker. trembucker was zebra, cant recall what the std spaced was. enjoy it! its a fantastic pup. its got more juice than any paf but still has a vintage quality to the tone

My std spaced under the cover was double-creme. It was ordered not long after the original run.

i thought thats what it was dc normal spaced, zebra trembucker, both under covers obviously. who knows, maybe we will be able to get a dc again someday
