There is a promo picture of Les and Mary with Les holding a LP with a milled down bridge and the strings wrapped over the top. I was looking for it last night. I do recall people talking about doing this on the LPF- but aside from the pic of Les, I've never actually seen it done.

I would have loved to have been in the room when they were designing the guitar and they decided on that bridge. It just seems hilarious to me that they made such a beautiful instrument and that was the best they could come up with for the bridge. Don't flame me I don't mean to disrespect Mr. Paul or the other designers in any way, I just find the bridge design to be really funny in comparison to the rest of the instrument.

Beautiful guitar.

Seller doesn´t disclose (or know) that it´s been refretted, though.

Why mill the bridge down when restringing it properly will give the exact same effect? ;)

I'm not being rude, but what other bridge would you have recommended in 1950/51?
