There is a promo picture of Les and Mary with Les holding a LP with a milled down bridge and the strings wrapped over the top. I was looking for it last night. I do recall people talking about doing this on the LPF- but aside from the pic of Les, I've never actually seen it done.
Do you think that you could mill the bridge down (on a replacement/custon bridge) enough to get a decent action?
I'm just wondering how much you could lower it, given the position of the two nuts securing the bridge.
This isn't intended to be critical of your idea/thinking Golden Boy, I'm just curious if it could result in a "decent" action.
The photographer certainly did a great job.
