1970's Vox Wah (serviced by our own Mr. Spina)

This is a great sounding wah from the early 70's. It is a Vox wah by the Thomas Organ Co.

I bought it from BungalowBill and it has been killer. I need to let this guy roll in order to make an amp purchase happen. I will likely regret this, but my loss=your gain.

Spina true bypassed this wah, put in a new pot, resistors and swapped some caps as well. You can read through a couple of threads below to get the whole story. It is beat to crap looking, but AWESOME sounding.

I'll let it go for what I paid BB for it which is $92 shipped.

Dang it. Just when I am broke. I'd love to have that Greg, but the funds are just not available right now. Beat-to-crap-looking = AWESOME to me!

I was real close to pulling the trigger on this before you, now I have to reconsider all over again.

Re: 1970's Vox Wah (serviced by our own Mr. Spina)

definitly NOT trying to be an a$$ here, but someone please ltell me the point in this wah?

You take a vintage wah, with vintage original tone caps and resistors, with its great old vibe and tone, then you put an all new circuitboard parts in there, which you should be able to get put together on a new board and stuff into any nice new shiny wah. I know I'm wrong probably.. it never fails, so please tell me.. mean, now that its sold, and especially to you know who, what it IS about this pedal anyhow?

Yo dude, did you take the friggin time to read the threads I posted with this? If you did you would have seen that this thing was in bad shape and needed some work hence the replaced parts.

New parts or old, this wah is killer for the same price as some crap made in China sells for these days.
So not to be an a$$ or anything, but why don't you m.y.o.b.!!!

Jerry, before you can understand much of anything, you still need to learn the basics.

I apologise. I'm not going to say anything more, and I'm going to stay out of peoples for sale threads.

You're forgiven. :beerchug:

I get really hot when people make comments that are so uncalled for like that.
