1980 Fender 75 Amp, video clip....

A quick clip of my latest head, a 1980 Fender 75. Very cool amp once it is tweaked for more warmth and sustain, built as a Boogie clone, but missed the mark a bit. I ended up swapping a 3 .0047 ( might have been .0022, memory is short) caps for some .047. Clipped one .005 cap, and then tied in a 1 meg ohm resistor with the bright switch. That lil tweak really dialed the amp in for me..... The amp is set to low power, 15 watts or so. Very handy, and the amp still has real nice bottom on low power. Armed with my trusty Samick ES335 copy, loaded with HighOrders.....

Thanks kids, what I really dig about it is that it has serious grunt, even on the low power (15 watt) setting. A lot of low power amps sound small, but this retains a big voice, and the headroom is beautiful with full power. A great amp with a few changes....
