Thats a Roland Midi contraption that was added later . I agree , I really don't think the headstock goes with the rest of guitar.
But the rising sun inlays are very tasty.

Yeah, I had a Guild Aviator (S-284) with a Kahler and EMG single coils. Really solid axe. Made in Westerly, RI.

I stripped the paint (badly), refinished in tung-oil (poorly) and basically ruined it...

Couldn't find a picture on the web - this is a lefty. Mine was red and right (like Sammy Hagar).

Dali , that Aviator looks alot like the Liberator, except it had active Bartolini pickups.
