1993 USA Fender Strat Floyd Rose

I am thinking of selling my 1993 USA made floyd rose classic series stratocaster. This guitar is as close to new as a pre-owned guitar can get, and could easily be sold as new at your local music store. This guitar has approximately 20 hours of total playing time on it since new. It is basically a US Richie Sambora model without the star inlays on the neck. Features: Absolutely stunning three-color classic sunburst, maple neck with rosewood board, original floyd rose tremolo, dimarzio paf pro humbucker in the bridge and two fender vintage single coils in the middle and neck position, five-way switch, vintage tuners, white pickguard. This axe is an incredible rock/blues machine that is all stock and in basically new condition. If anything, there might be some very light pick scratching on the pickguard, but since this guitar was hardly played, it can't be much. Comes with original hardshell case in excellent condition as well as case candy. The price is $900.00 shipped and insured in the USA. You can pay by paypal. I will let the buyer try it for 48 hours. That is how confident I am that you will love this guitar. If you don't love it, ship it back to me (at your expense) in the same condition, and I will refund your money. PM for photos if seriously interested. I may consider a nice Marshall TUBE combo towards a trade.

Man, I love those guitars. I was just about to ask if you'd be interested in trading for a '91 American Standard Tele until I saw your asking price. The Tele has some wear on it and is stock. Good luck with the sale.

Re: 1993 USA Fender Strat Floyd Rose

Thanks for your interest. It is a great guitar, but it just sits in it's case. So many guitars, so little time. I know it's not cheap, but these guitars sold for over a grand new. This one is still that nice. I recently went in to my local GC to check out guitars. I was amazed at the crap they are putting out now and charging a grand for. You certainly won't get a guitar anywhere near this quality at this price. Plus it's USA made which is still the choice for me. I like alot of the Ibanez, ESP, Jackson, Charvel, older Japanese stuff. Just as nice as USA made in some cases. In my opinion though, the new Japanese stuff doesn't compare to the old, and the Korean stuff isn't close. They wanted six, seven, eight hundred bucks for a Korean made guitar because it was trimmed in abalone and had dunc. designed pickups. No thanks. I would buy a Charvel model series (80's Japan made) guitar for $300.00 and change the pickups if I had to. How about two-grand for a JEM? I love Steve Vai. There's a near mint 1989 RG550 loaded with DMZ Evolutions on evilbay for $550.00. That leaves a lot of spandex and hairspray money left over. Sorry about the rant guys, I was just blown away by the crap they sell now.

Floyd Rose? Spandex!? Hairspray!? I dig this new guy!:fing2: Welcome to the forum man, I like your point of view. Good luck with the sale, mind posting some pics to ogle?

Re: 1993 USA Fender Strat Floyd Rose

I just posted one photo. Give a rookie a break!! I am just figuring out how to do this stuff on here. Thanks man. I love the 5150's. Those are killer amps. Check out my 6 song soundclick link. It's all 5150. Rock on.

Re: 1993 USA Fender Strat Floyd Rose

Man, if you like 5150's, you oughta' head on over to the Amplifier section and look for a thread titled "Deal of the Century", it'll give you heartburn. ;)

Edit: Nice tunes on your soundclick. Not sure if I like the vocals enough to buy the album yet, but I like the guitar work a lot. That 5150 tone rocks.

Yeah, I remember reading that post a little while ago. You got the 5150 for like a couple of hundred bucks or something . I hated you for that. I never find deals. Well, even though I am sure you are holding your breath for me to sell this axe for like $75.00 , my brother you can fughettaboutit!!!! LOL:fing25:

Re: 1993 USA Fender Strat Floyd Rose

Thanks for the kind words. I am not charging forum bros for the tunes. How could I with all this valuable advice I receive from you guys. You guys are very welcoming and I appreciate it. If you like something, PM me with your email address and I will send you the mp3's for free.

Re: 1993 USA Fender Strat Floyd Rose

No problem. BTW, I assume that's you on guitar? Same for the "paid-by-the-note" solo? :D

Edit: Okay, just listened to "Don't Come Easy", and I've got to have it! This is the "riding in the car with the missus" album I've been looking for! She can appreciate that 80's type, almost punk singing, and I can appreciate that guitar work, and 5150 tone! And now I can show her why I'm so crazy about mine! :D PM heading your way!

Edit Edit: haha, listened to it again, and that's a really nice recorded tone, if you don't mind me asking, what were you using to record it, as far as your rig is concerned? It's very open sounding, nice and articulate, it breathes really well. The playing has a smooth, loose feel to it, very "in the pocket", if that makes sense.

Thank you. It was mostly my stock 1993 PRS Custom 24 directly into the amp. The producer added some effects at the mix. He was super legit and a true pro and the reason it sounds so good was his experience. He has recorded with Extreme, Duran Duran, Robert Palmer, and a bunch of other people. Our idea was to go to a good yet affordable studio, but hire a great producer and that seemed to work out pretty well for us. When I get the PM I will send you the tunes. Thanks again for the kind words.

Good call!

Judging by the location & credits, might it have been Bob St. John?

Nice axe too...one of my buddies in high school had that same gee'tar...it got a lot more wear then yours!

Re: 1993 USA Fender Strat Floyd Rose

Last chance to own this sparkling clean specimen of a prime, American-made, rock and roll guitar. You will not find a nicer, more immaculate, well-cared for example of this long discontinued model. If anyone is interested, please send a PM today. If not, it's off to the bay. Once there, shipping will not be included and there will be no returns offered. I am hoping to avoid the bay. I am not looking forward to the inevitable foreign emails ( "I like very much your fine american instrument. Is it possible to ship to Jakarta if I will include additional chickens to cover cost of shipping") Please spare me that horror!!! Seriously though, I know there are some "Strat Guys" on this forum. Make your friends jealous. They don't make them like this anymore. This is real quality, made in the USA when they were still making good guitars. Treat yourself for the holidays. You deserve it.

This is the guitar you are looking for, this is the guitar you are looking for. Figured I would try the Jedi mind trick on you. Did it work?
