1998 Video from 1st Gig in 8 Years!

I had not played my guitar in about 8 years, then I started jamming with this keyboard player, then before we knew it, we had a short gig in front of about 500 people :eek13: :laugh2: :6:

When we first got up to play, we blew the circuit breaker.. hehe..

Kinda corny.. my hair really sucks.. and I've lost a few pounds since then.. a few mistakes and un-harmonics here and there.. oh well :13:

Great playing as always Steve :bigthumb: ...good choice of tunes. You have a very unique style of phrasing that I just cant describe...If I didn't know that was you playing by sight, I'd have known as soon as you started your solo.

That's the STEVO Signature Lick!:fing2: It's a quick hamer on/pull off legato like lick I guess is the best way to describe it? He's got his own pedigree! How cool is DAT !:banana::yourock:

:D I think I was still stuck in the 80s.. had my head in work and books for so long, I had no clue (still don't) about fashion or the latest style :laugh2:

The keyboardist was someone that I just happened to work with. He bugged me for a long time, to get something going. It pretty much ended that day :D

That was a beautiful 76 Twin with vintage greenback speakers. I wish I still had it.

Really nice playing, had to have been really fun having that size crowd welcoming you back.... I wish I could sing and play, that art is just lost on me.

Yes it was quite intimidating, but fun at the same time. It was in Santa Barbara.. lots of nice looking ladies there :D

I've been jonesing for another strat lately! :) That guitar had a hot rails bridge, hot stack middle and a quarter pounder in the neck.. all Duncans, of course :D

Thanks for checking it out Niels. That was a strange but fun experience.

On those older clips, I had the same strat and twin. The band was pretty cool but we were not together for too long. The lead guitar was an Italian guy named Ozzie :D I think this was our 3rd gig together. George Thoroghgood was in the audience, with 2 beautiful women. My brother started a conversation with him by saying "I thought you drank alone" :laugh2:

Shortly after that gig I moved to Santa Barbara and started night school. The amp sat in my closet for years. I kept my guitar out on display, but never played it. I wanted to, but I knew I'd get the bug again :D
