Pulled the trigger on a ZVEX Seek Wah on fleabay. Joe and Curly's Amp Show report got me looking at Zach's stuff. I like the idea of waht the seek wah is supposed to do. Wish me luck.

Ordered the Matchless Lightning clone as well. Looks like I'll have some soldering to do soon. I'm really looking forward to this one. I love that Matchless/BadCat tone and this is a package this is not so expensive that I feel guilty for not playing a lot.

Congrats Scott as usual new gear rocks. if i posted the list of all the gear i just bought in the last 2 days you'll think i'm the new gearwhore of the site not GJ hahaha. i went a bit crazy since i had landed a new graphic design side job, graduated college and had my birthday...all which = extra cash for gear!!

enjoy the new toys!!

-morley tremonti wah
-eh holy grail reverb (engl has no verb)
-mxr zakk wylde sig. overdrive
-bbe sonic stomp
-boss ns-2 noise supressor
-boss dd-3 delay
-tubescreamer clone (build your kit)
-loooper 2 looper
-digitech whammy (actually a present from my band members)
-pedal pad mps-xl powered pedalboard to fit all that crap in lol
-2 10 foot planet waves cables
-1 10 foot right angle planet waves cable
-2 15 foor planet waves cables
-2 sets of george l's fx cable kits (red)
-levy's strap
-d'addario strings (20 sets)
-custom lazer cut mirror pickguard for the new iron maiden strat (seller took off the origional)
-fender/schaller locking tuners for one of my strats

i told you i went nuts...

i had been putting away cash from previous graphic design side jobs and landed a new BIG one and had my b-day and college graduation so i lost my mind and went nuts with pedals and such. granted, only one new guitar but like i needed another one anyway...the maiden strat makes lucky #13...how fitting hahaha. i'm amazed i managed to buy pedals and such and not blow all the cash on one guitar haha i'm happy i didn't actually, i needed to finish my pedal collection.

so, who's the gear whore now lol :laugh2:

i need mental help...either that or someone take away my debit card lol.

lol, it's true...i think i may be obsessive compulsive...everything i do has to be A) perfect and B) over the top C) done yesterday. my plate on my car reads XSSIVE actually and that's just me. my close friends love it when i buy them birthday and holiday presents lol b/c i spoil them like my family. on that note, my family to be honest with you are all like this...i think it's genetic. my one brother has an obsession with home audio/video, another with fishing gear, another with hunting, my father also has a hunting obsession and collects guns for it...along with my first cousin...my mom is the only one with any form of restraint and doesn't have a hobby but she does get very very wrapped up in her work.

Scott..nice score on the Seek Wah...that is one edal I wish to this day I had never sold! I had one of the first batch on them, loved it but a time came when it saw very little action so I sold it...I am still putting off getting another one. That are very cool!

I want to know what you think of that Z Vex Seek Wah? And how close to a real Matchless you can get that kit sounding? Be glad you didn't try to build a DC-30, you would have never finished it. The Lightning sounds like a much simpler amp to assemble.

And guy's, never feel guilty about buying music toys. Feel guilty for throwing money away at Vegas, buying cocaine, tipping strippers, or paying parking tickets.

yeah, thats true. Music stuff helps us put out or make something positive. Like playing a gig with a new amp-you feel great about your tone, and the audience is enjoying it as well, but probably not as much as you.
