I have 2 newly aquired 90 watt, 8 ohm. Mesa Black Shadow speakers for sale $75 for the one with a sticker and $65 for the one without a label. or $135 for the pair.
Great condition although I received one without a sticker on the back. It is the matching speaker to the other Black shadow.
I was checking out different speaker combinations and mixed these with 2 V30s and also paired these with 2 g12k100 speakers. The Black Shadows were very nuetral and sounded great but I was missing some low end compared to mixing the v30s with the g12k100. I was missing some breakup with the Black shadows and the G12k100 mix. I think these speakers sound best alone or paired with a low wattage speaker as to get more breakup. I thought I wanted only a clean speaker setup as to hear the amps distortion only, but I find I do like a little more speaker distortion.
I am thinking also about trying the Emminence Governor or swamp thang or a Weber 12v. Maybe even trade?
Has anyone tried the Weber beam blocker speaker attatchment for removing high end noise from diffusing the speaker cone??
