2 P90s - no of combos?

Guys, I'm thinking about replacing my hum-equipped PRS with some P90s. Thinking about the Phat Cats, but also the Lollars as well.

The PRS has a normal 3 way plus a push/pull. Normally it would split the humbucker coil. But if I go with the P90s, what should I do with the push/pull? I think the Phat Cats have 3 connectors so I could do bridge, neck, together in phase and together in parallel?

Does it matter if the Lollars are single conductor? Can I do the phase and parallel with it?

Or should I use the push pull for something else?

PS: excuse me if I'm talking gobbledegook, not really wiring inclined!

I'd say just ditch the push/pull for a standard pot and keep the 3-way switch. Two P90s in series is just two thick, and I don't care for the out of phase tone on them most of the time either.

Re: 2 P90s - no of combos?

I agree P90s in series is very unlikely to be useful. IMO it'd be worth having out-of-phase as an option, though, even if it rarely gets used.

Occasionally something that sounds really different can be handy to have.

Single conductor leads wouldn't be an obstacle for wiring a phase switch.

Phat Cats are single conductor, so the other thing you can do is make a phase switch, but I never liked that sound. I'd agree with the Phat Cats and 2 standard pots...that will sound good enough as is.

Since you already have the switch, sems a bit pointless to ditch it. Out of phase can be brilliant at a times, especially with darker sounding set up.

Does the PRS have separate volumes for pickups? That does huge impact on usefulness of phase switch.

You might want balance pickups with resistor in out of phase position if it's single volume set up.
