2 pickups wired to single terminal on a pot?

deadlock

Hi. I'm not actually planning on doing this... I'm just wondering: what would happen if you wired two pickups to one terminal of a single volume pot?

Would both pickups be in parallel with each other, like the middle position on a Les Paul? Series with each other? Short out?

Like this:

It would work. However I don't know how those two would sound? I am thinking the two pickups would be out of phase parallel?

Series humbuckers Parallel with each other and in phase with each other, I think. Should be the same as having a 3-way gibson toggle in the center (both on).

And dude, that avatar is killing me

Yes again. That's just a master volume, minus the selector switch. So you never get to have either pickup by itself. It's like having the selector switch frozen forever in the middle position.
