Hi there,
I'm new to wiring, please bear with me.
I've got a USA custom Jackson RR1 that I'm doing some modifying to - basically, I've got a Bill & Becky L500XL in the bridge, and a '59 (or maybe pearly gates) in the neck. Both are 4-conductor, of course, and it's 1 volume 2 tone. Here's the thing - I want to convert it to 1 volume no tone, put an afterburner or pa2 preamp boost on there, and have a coil split option - not as a push/pull but as a mini switch, but I don't know if it's possible to do that. The preamp will take my red wire, and the black on the seymour and i think the blue? on the L500XL will be the hot output - is there any way I can coil tap the 2 pickups, or am I stuck? And, additionally, if it's possible, what kind of mini-switch do I need? I'm unsure of what exactly pole/throw combinations mean.
I am thankful for whatever help I can get =)
Craig
