I just registered on this board after seeing this reply.

I am the "dude" selling those two pickups on Ebay. To address your concern: HOW can I have a picture of the back of the pickups when they are still installed on my guitar and I have not taken them out yet??? There's no point in ripping them out if no one is going to buy them. The minute someone confirms they want to buy the pickups I will take them out and if they like I will take pictures of the back before receiving payment.

As for wether they are "legit" or not: feel free to contact my dealer for confirmation, Guitar Asylum in New York, who received the pickups directly from Seymour Duncan and installed them in my guitar. The reason I don't have the original box is because my dealer never gave it to me after installing the pickups and I forgot to ask them to keep the box and send it to me together with the guitar I had ordered from them. Furthermore, my sales order number and my customer number is written in my Seymour Duncan custom order form and by asking Seymour Duncan to check in their records I am sure they can verify that my custom-made pickups are indeed LEGIT.

let me see i'm selling "custom shop" pickups that look like regular live wire pickups. and i don't have the boxes. and i have paper work that proves they are "custom shop" pickups but i'll give them to you after you pay me. i didn't take the pickups out of the guitar so someone could see the back and maybe a clue that these are "custom shop" pickups. did i leave anything out ? so with that i say good luck. i can pay you with a check from my nigerian bank if that is cool ? :laugh2: it's ebay and someone may buy them for your asking price and hope they get lucky . and then again maybe not . so once again good luck ! :fingersx:

I didnt mean to offend but, read post #9! You could easily sell these "said to be Authentic CS pickups" if you either had the boxes or, took pictures of the back of them! Do you really want to sell them or do you just want to list them just for the hell of it? Besides, it is Ebay and people get scammed all the time on there. Buyers and sellers alike need to excercise alot of caution on there! Do you not agree????

Another question, did you really send your guitar overseas just to have pickups installed???? If so, why?

NO! I almost couldn't believe my eyes when I read your question. I ordered that guitar from Guitar Asylum and they installed the pickups in my guitar BEFORE it was shipped to me. Does it make sense now or do I still need to explain it in more detail?

Take a wild guess: what do you think? I am not selling them because I need the money, which I don't, I am only selling them because I am switching to passives.
Again, I am NOT going to rip out the pickups just to take pictures of the back if no one is going to buy them. You did not read my previous reply carefully: I said that as soon as someone confirms they want to buy them, I will take the pickups out and take pictures of the back BEFORE (NOTE: BEFORE) I receive payment. Happy now? Anything else I can do for you?

And of course my pickups look like ordinary LiveWires. What else were they supposed to look like? When I ordered them I just asked to get them with black covers, hence why they look like ordinary LiveWires.

Re: 2 SD custom shop pups on ebay

You know, it's not a lot of effort to take the pickups out of the guitar and take shots of the back if it will help insure a sale. You don't have to desolder them and everything, just unscrew the mounting rings and take a shot of the back. It's not that hard. Hell I'll SAY I want to buy them if that's all it takes ;). I think you jumped the gun and got a hasty attitude a little too easily.

Let's walk through the logic here...

You don't want to take 5 minutes to pop the pickups out and take some pics of the back if no one will buy them... yet not many will buy them without shots of the back to prove authenticity... the choice is pretty clear if you ask me.
