2 Seperate Guitar Tones

I need an answer to this quick...

I use a Traynor Blue, and am doing a guitar project, I want the two lead parts in the project to have a different tone. It's a blues boogie piece.

My standard tone is Gain 5, Volume 8, High 8, Low 7, Mids 6.

The clean guitar has Volume 5, High 5, Low 7, Mids 4 (Its only Rhythm, I want a second distortion tone)

I would start by just flipping the selector switch and trying a different pickup. Neck instead of bridge or vice versa. Or use a different guitar if you have one available.
