2 soundcloud clips, feedback please

Here are 2 songs my wife and I came up with.
One 80's groove type thing, one I don't know what to call.

I'm not very strong on vocals, and they were recorded with an iPad, so proper equipment should make it better. Looking for some feedback or constructive criticism

The second one sounds kind of like the white stripes or Nirvana. Interesting lyrics and delivery -- your voice actually has a cool character to it that fits well. The first one reminds me of a song I've heard before...

From a songwriter perspective, the "...Down" one put me in mind of They Might Be Giants.

A click track is a metronomic timing guide, commonly used in professional recording facilities. The idea is to give the contributing musicians a reference against which to compare the accuracy of their playing.

On an iPad running Garage Band, look in the Global Tracks area to set your time signature(s) and any intentional tempo variations. The metronome click will dutifully follow.

Ah, I figured out how to set the metronome, but not different times in the same song
