2 speaker outs on my amp, do they have to be the same Impedance?

I was wondering if I could mismatch impedances this way since there are 2 ajustable switches above the speaker out jacks.

Just put 2 vintage 30 Celestions in my 4x12 cab and disconnected the other 2 speakers, I love the sound but I liked the bigger sound of 4 speakers.

I've wired 2 Vintage 30 (8 ohms) speakers parallel making an 4 ohm load.
So would it damage the amp if I would wire the 2 g12t75 (16 ohms) in parallel to another jack and connect it to the 2nd speaker out on the amp set to 8 ohm?

Depends on the amp, some power sections have "Dual Mono Blocks" instead of one true stereo block, and on an DMB it´s a non issue, you can even blow one side up and the other will still work.

On a true stereo block it depends entirely on the way the output section was designed, but usually you´ll have to do the same math as when using 2 cabs on one output.......

I have no idea what Bogner uses for his amps.

What amp did you get? :) Got clips?

None yet, I don´t have the time or the cash to go amp shopping right now...

Too bad. Wish you all the luck hunting a good amp.

Sooo anyone else knows about running 2 different speakers on one amp?
