2 v.s. 6 pint MIA Fender Strat trems... tonal differences?

Is there a tonal difference between the 2 & 6 Point trems? The MIA versions of course... I think there are different versions of the 2 Point MIA Trem though... could anyone point out the differences of those too please..

i have a 2 point...i think the vintage RI 62 one's with 6 screws are heavier and get better classic strat type tones.

The 2 point is great for whammying and has a pretty stable float and is much easier to adjust height than the six. It gets a great tone for me...i have the deluxe american strat, but with duncan surfers and i couldnt ask for a better tone, especially with the float.

Btw... I think Lew only mentioned the MIJ units in his Ultimate strat Sound Thread not the MIA 2 Point...

For some reason I've always heard that the 6 screw vintage trems were better?
Because they cause more vibration to the body or something....?

I don't know actually.. but I don't get why they would make new tremolos that aren't as good as the old ones...
Btw... Armotron.. could it be that you sig has something to do with some nerdy punk tryin to cheat over the net? ;)
