We just recorded this track today,

We have decided that we shall cover the Iggy Pop song 'The Passenger'. Due to an absence of the normal vocalist which was very for- sorry Unfortunate, I took the helm and did vocals for the day, I'm not playing guitar in this one as i Found it difficult to stand and sing while playing.

Enjoy and feedback and likes welcome on the Youtube page and this one :)

EDIT, there is stuff going on behind me which i Never knew about, nevertheless it was funny when watching it at home

thanks for watching :)

Re: #2 Vid of My band

Shouldn't the vocalist be all cut up by broken glass and about to produce a rocket from his pocket? ;)

!!!! You covered the Passenger!!!!

You go to the front of the class young man!

Re: #2 Vid of My band

LHS, my friend. Does the band take requests?

I would very much like to hear "The Black Page". The drum solo version would suffice. ;)

Re: #2 Vid of My band

I'll look up the song probably come by it before and forgot it. but yeah I'll pass it on :)

No, sir. Nobody who has seen the manuscript of "The Black Page" forgets it. Showing this delightful collection of "commas" to your drummer is likely to result in personal injury. :naughty:

That was pretty damn sweet, man. I'll admit, I clicked the video with a certain amount of fear and apprehension, since Passenger is one of my favourite songs but y'all made it work. Good stuff.

Plus, that dude's playing a Pacifica. I approve of this.

Hey thanks man :)

I'm going to write and play more stuff that I can personally sing, yesterday was a great confidence boost :)

also yeah, Well that's the college's guitar, and the guy got a telling off along with the others, because we are supposed to use our own instruments.

Re: #2 Vid of My band

Great stuff, man. Tell me, does it cause a problem having a girl in the band? When I was just a few years older than you we had a female synth player and it caused some problems. She was an angel faced, short blonde with big...you know. There weren't any problems within the band, but everywhere we went, someone was hitting on her or something. Like once we hired a photographer to shoot pics, and about 95% of the pics were of her! Then someone was always trying to pick her up at the clubs we played at when she just wanted to be left alone to prepare for the show. She was too nice to be nasty, but more than once I had to physically remove someone from her airspace. On a side note, I could have had sex with her about a year after she left the band. She invited me out to dinner and afterwards brought me to her dorm room which was empty. She was showing me all these pics of her in a bikini from her vacation and stuff, but I'm five years older than her and always viewed her like a little sister. I didn't even realize it until later when she was engaged and told me that she was a little insulted I didn't pop her that night, lol. What an idiot I am, ha ha.

Re: #2 Vid of My band

I know what you mean, The drummer is fine we get on well, lol

It's the lead vocalist, cause she was away when we recorded this so I took over for that session, the thing is with the female singer is she is under her own false perception that she sings really well and sounds really good.... she doesn't.... (watch the paranoid video on my channel and you will see what I mean) I am the only guy in the band with the balls to discuss the issue and everytime we end up near enough falling out with each other cause she still thinks she's #1 and she's not..... I am an axe slinger, am I thinking I am #1? no i just love what I do and the music I play, I'd just wish she would back down sometimes....

Oh man, I know the feeling! When I was nineteen, we formed a band (the one that I'm posting those old recordings of) and the singer was great. He had a perfect voice for that time period, like a mix of Geddy Lee from Rush and Bruce Dickinson from Iron Maiden, but he smoked pot constantly and eventually his voice just went south. A few years later when we had formed another band, me and the new bass player were always on his case to cut down the smoking but he never did. He also believed that he was the center of the band because I used to have to stoke his ego by telling him he was great and because a few club owners told us he was one of the best singers that they had ever heard. Eventually the band broke up because he was trying to get the other members to throw me out because I was over 300 pounds and didn't have the Bon Jovi type looks (which they didn't either, but they were skinny.) They wouldn't do it because I wrote all the music, I drove the singer to and from practice and they wouldn't, and they were pussies to be honest. By then he couldn't hit a high note to save his life and the tension within the band was so great that I quit, essentially breaking up the group. He formed another band with the other guitarist and they wrote some decent stuff but that broke up soon after a gig at a huge party where he smoked so much pot he passed out and they asked me to come up and sing. I sang a whole set and pumped up the crowd so much that later, they got on his case for being too boring onstage, lol. Weird, but true.

Of course after I lost well over a hundred pounds he asked me to play keyboards in his current thing. I did just for fun but I made it a point that I was NOT a member of the band, and they should keep looking for a keyboard player. They broke up before that happened.

At times like these, a band should all sit down together and watch This Is Spinal Tap. Always, a salutary lesson.

in some of the early practices, i was constantly swearing at the others cause sometimes they do loaf around and muck too much, i have now curbed the habit....

Re: #2 Vid of My band

Actually, perhaps your drummer should be excused from watching Tap ;)
