2 x 12" Cabinet options

I'm looking at a fairly limited range of 2 x 12" cabs at the moment, which I'd need to get from across in Dubai. Given the range I have to pick from, which would you pick and why. Assume for the moment that price and/or size/weight are not a determining factor. The options are:

Blackstar HTV 212 - AED 1199

Marshall 1936 212 - AED 2499

Marshall 1922 212 - AED 2299

Hayden 212 - AED 1259​

Assume I'm playing classic/indie rock and blues

I have no experience with those cabinets, but good luck with your poll. My next 2×12 cab will be custom made. 300 watt EV Black Labels for max headroom & clarity. Half of the cabinet will be closed back & the other open back. Either end up, or horizontal - versatility. Best of both worlds, I'm thinkin, how about you?

One thing I've discovered since posting the poll is that the Hayden cabinet may well have a pair of Eminence Governor Red Coats in it - that's not a speaker I've encountered before, so if anyone can give me any gen on that one, I'd appreciate it.

The Marshall cabs will have 75s in it..are you OK with 75s?

Quality wise, they are solid utilitarian cabs that serve most people well, though they are not the best Xx12s out there.

The more I read, the more I think the Hayden may come out on top. From what I'm picking up, The Govenor is a V30 style speaker and has more of a British character to it. Add to that a marine grade ply, British made cabinet, and it begins to look more and more of a bargain at that price.

Not sure if it has enough wattage for you but the traynor darkhorse 2x12 with angled greenbacks is an amazing cab... the angled speakers towards eachother cut out harsh highs and boost lows which for these speakers sound amazing.. it is a 50 watt only cab though and only has an 8 ohm in

If that was within reaching distance I'm sure I'd look at it very closely indeed. Unfortunately, finding stuff in the Middle East is hard enough as it is, without getting picky about things. I can pretty much rule out finding anything in Saudi itself, leaving the UAE the best option in the region.

yeah I hear its hard to get traynor stuff outside of north america. Out of your selection I would go with the Hayden aswell but I find V30s can get a little fizzy with some pedals and amps if not tweaked right.

I've heard some clips of Zilla cabs, and they sound really good. They come with some pretty cool tolex and grill options too for aesthetic purposes.

Recent Marshall 1936's are all MDF construction, if you go for one of those get an older one made of ply. The 1922 (which I had once to match a Marshall combo amp) is less deep, I'd take an older 1936 over that if you go Marshall. The others I'm not sure of.

Well I've ordered the Hayden. It's marine ply construction and definitely has Eminence speakers in it. As far as I've been able to make out, they're Govenor Redcoats.
