Hi everyone, I'm looking to sell or trade my 2012 Gibson Les Paul Studio (Ebony). The guitar has a number of important upgrades, including:
- Dimarzio 36th Anniversary P.A.F. in the neck
- Seymour Duncan 59/Custom hybrid in the bridge
- Grover Locking Tuners (the original tuners will be included)
- Schaller strap locks
It was professionally set up after purchase, including a fret leveling and re-crown. It's in great condition, with only minor buckle rash on the back and a couple tiny dings. Nothing through the paint. It was only played in my smoke-free apartment, and never gigged. It looks and sounds great. I've taken off the pickguard in most of the pics, but I will include it (along with a couple 3- and 5-ply Custom-style pickguards) with the guitar.
Being the 2012 model, the guitar comes with coil taps on both pickups. Also, I will ship it with the original hard-shell case. The sound is fantastic, that thick, warm Les Paul growl, and the pickup combinations give it a great versatility. It's a fantastic Les Paul that gets you the iconic sound at a fraction of the cost. I've invested about $2,000 in it all in all, but will sell it for $900 (and ship it for free).
I'm selling it because I want to get a more "shredder" type guitar, lighter and with a thinner neck. I'm definitely open to trades, with my preferences being: PRS guitars (the American ones), Ibanez, the EVH-style Peavey or Music Man guitars, or any Super Strat type guitar. As long as it has a high-output humbucker in the bridge and is relatively light with a fast neck, we can talk. I'm open to partial trades (i.e. one of us gives some cash too) if necessary.
Feel free to contact me with any questions or for more pics! And here's the link to my eBay auction (the reserve is set at $900) so you can see my feedback and in case you feel more comfortable dealing with it that way:

Finally, I live in Chicago in case you're local and want to check it out in person. Thanks for looking!
