Here's another, with Boss SD-1 in front. I moved the mics a little toward the edge of the cone for this one.

The EMG81 doesn't even hit amps all that hard I've found. It's the SD-1 that's boosting the gain.
I need to pick up another SD-1. The OD808 is amazing, but I've heard SD-1's with Recto's are completely in-****ing-sane.

Sounds great Drucifer. That is a pretty popular sound setup from a few decades ago. You pulled it off well. Made me think back.

Sounds really good!
I like the SD-1 very much too, very clear and you can use a different approach to the sound than the ts-9 (and it's various clones like the Bad monkey) which can sometimes be too muddy for certain tones. The SD-1 acts almost like a clean boost with it clearness.
Still prefer the TS-9 over it, it has more balls!
