24.75" Drop-C Tuning

Yo,
Has anyone out there tried tuning a 24.75" scale guitar to drop-C? Will it intonate?

It ought to.

What bridge do you have one there? You may have to turn around some posts if it is a tune-o-matic.

You should be able to get it close enough without any major work. My old ESP Viper was 24.75, and I went WAY lower than C with it.

i ****ed around with a standard C tuning on my les paul several times in the past. my recommendations: ernie ball beefy slinkies, GHS boomers low tuners :thumbup:

your guitar should be just fine... I had no idea scale length had somehing to do with the intonation that much

I am not an expert, but I've read that longer scale necks intonate easier in the lower scale, hence a 27" baritone tuned to drop-B.
