250K Pots with Fat 50's

Thinking about putting Fat 50's in strat.....Volume pot is 500K. Would it sound better with 250K pots? Or just the volume as 250k?

And if I were to change the volume pot, do I have to do anything other than switch the pots out? As in conductivity or anything?

Definitely use 250K pots on strats with vintage single coils. I love Fat 50's, especially the neck. The bridge has great tone, but can be a little bright like most vintage A5 singles. I usually roll the tone off to 7-8 on all my strats. 500K should only be used for humbuckers or single sized humbuckers.
