2x12 cab...two 16 ohm speakers....

Let it B
how would I wire to get a 8ohm total or 16ohm total, with two 16ohm speakers?

Right now the cab is wired at 16 ohms total with two 8 ohm speakers. I believe it's in series wiring.

Mono, BTW.

I got a creamback m65 that came in my DSL combo, and I have a V30 laying around I am thinking about throwing together in my cab. Both are 16 ohms. The DSL can handle 8 or 16 ohm load.

With a pair of 16 ohm speakers, your only realistic option is parallel wiring for a load of 8 ohms. With a pair of 8 ohm speakers, you can wire in series for 16 ohms (my 2x12 is wired this way) or in parallel for 4 ohms.

You'll have go with 8 ohms, which you can achieve by rewiring the two speakers so that they're in parallel. You can't wire two 16 ohms speakers together in a manner that will give you a total of 16 ohms.
