Just went in the shop today to fix the prior owner's repair damage... Maybe 3 weeks to get back.

Should be a a nice Custom Shop Strat when finished... Its an Ash body, tasteful birdseye neck and ebony fingerboard. Refret, pick guard to be replaced with a wooden one, truss rod plug to be repaired.

Please post when finished.......would like to see the wooden pick guard. What's the neck radius? What kind of pickups?
Looks like it will end up real nice.

Re: #3 of 4 in the shop

I think they are the old spec 57/62's - the ones with the Maroon wire. Will be a 9.5" radius when finished. Its probably one of the 1st years of the Custom shop (Look at the logo) - I'd certainly like to know the history, but its got a serial number that I won't be able to decode (xxx of 500).

Here's the wood guard going on it - a spur of the moment decision this morning. It was a gift from the guy doing the repairs. It looked really sharp on my LP Blue Strat, but did not really fit as that Strat is a Japan Vintage version (different screw positions).

I dunno - they matched my tinfoil hat, so I went with it. :D

The guitar I'm sure will be spectacular.
