Just in case anyone else is interested, here's a summary of what we were discussing:
Here's a new pic showing a better view of how the grounds work:
Edit: removed incorrect drawing.
As you can see, the bottom push/pull simply connects the red/white wires to the top push/pull. The top push/pull determines which wires connect to ground, and which connect to "hot", thus, selecting inner or outer coils.
btw - I'm assuming that both humbuckers are physically mounted with screw coils facing outwards.

One other thing, just today, I added a switch to split the two humbuckers in my Patriot. I discovered, that if you use an on-off-on switch, it only requires one switch to split to either inner or outer coils. I'll include that diagram tomorrow. (Plus, the part number from Jameco of the switch.)

exactamundo, artie ... this is how i did the two humbuckers in my H-S-H 540s ... a single DPDT on-off-on mini toggle ...
bridge green -------- [] [] --- neck black
bridge red&white --- [] [] --- neck red&white
bridge black -------- [] [] --- neck green
then bridge black lug and neck green lug to 5 way switch
when the toggle is up, you get the slug coil from one pickup and the screw coil from the other, when the toggle is down, you get the vice versa .. when the mini toggle is in the middle, they are in double coil mode
required a magnet flip in the neck pup

Here's my favorite. Simple wiring, simple functionality. One single push/pull pot, or a single DPDT on-on switch gives you a nice range of sounds:
This is my next favorite. (Its how my Patriot is wired, but I'm changing it to the above.) One simple DPDT on-off-on switch gives you the ability to have full 'buckers, or select inside or outside coils:
This gives the exact same functionality as above, but using two push/pull pots, in case someone didn't want to drill holes:
The only thing I didn't cover here is, you asked about using two 3-way toggles. Thats more switching power than you need, but if you had some other switching options in mind, let me know. I'll get right on it.
(I won't let it take a week.)

I've been looking for a 3 pole switch for my LP... where would I order the Ibanez one? BTW is this switch tall like a LP switch or bent like an SG switch?

I think the JEM Ghost was referring to extra poles in a Ibanez 3-way selector switch that allows you to automatically split both humbuckers in the middle position. Definitely not as versatile as the switches you have drawn up here but what Aja was asking for in his original post here.

Pretty slick wiring trick!
Are you sure that you had to flip the magnet? Usually the magnetic polarities are already correct when you are linking the slug coil from one pickup with the screw coil from another. It is when you are linking both screw coils or both slug coils that you need to flip the magnet (assuming that both pickups are from the same mfg).
I think I'll borrow your switch for my 25-50... thanks a lot! :dance:
