3T Sunburst Strat, Zebra Pickups, ________ Pickguard?

I'm redoing all the electronics in my strat (again), and this time I'm going for double humbuckers, most likely going to be zebra/reverse zebra humbuckers (though I'm open to suggestions). What I can't decide on is the pickguard. This is the current look of the guitar is here:

And the back, just so you can see the wood tone a little clearer:

I'm thinking a black pickguard could be cool this time, what do you all think?

Yeah, cream. I did it with my black SG. The lower contrast is a big improvement. As long as you have a rosewood fretboard.

I always liked tortoise shell on that sunburst color.

I'm still having a really hard time thinking this one out. It's at the point that I'm even reconsidering the Zebra, I keep looking at other choices and not being sure which I like more.

So far I'm leaning towards a mint or cream guard with the zebra pickups, or going for a black guard and having white/cream pickups.

Both black HBs, and a nice glossy black PG. Zebra HBs look funny on a strat.

nothing goes better with a sunburst strat than a tortoise pickguard IMO

An aged pearly cream would be cool. I have one of those on a shoreline gold strat and I think it would look goon on this one too.

Black is the easiest way to get a 70s look

Order the zebra pickups with white bobbins instead of cream ones, then get a pickguard that goes w/b/w. It would work with parchment instead, which is nearly white, but not quite. Cream, mint, tortoise? Yuck.
