4-way Switch Uses

I was just curious of the uses I could put a Fender 4-way switch (like the popular Tele mod) to.... as of now, I have a double-cut LP copy with a Jazzn and a 59b wired with a normal blade 3-way and a double volume (independent volumes and 50s wiring) control scheme with each volume knob being a coil split for it's respective pickup. If I were to install a 4-way in place of the 3-way, is there anything useful I could do with it? Or any ideas at least

You could do the normal Tele 4-way mod. The splits would be especially useful for that.

the two pickups in series right? Isnt that it? So regardless of whether or not each pup is split, it'd just put the two pickups in series.... hm so I'd have two humbuckers in series, neck screw coil w/ bridge humbucker, neck screw coil w/ bridge slug coil (ie virtual humbucker), or neck humbucker w/ bridge slug coil.... all in series right? Hm... interesting. Anyone know how I'd wire it up?

I was also pondering something Esquire inspired..... like a setting with some kinda cap or resistor or something making a "dark" setting or the like to a particular pickup or both together. I was thinking maybe a darker smoother setting for the Jazz to make it sound more like a Albatross (Fleetwood Mac) inspired sound... that deep smooth dark neck type of feel. As is, the Jazz is pretty **** bright. Also FWIW, this guitar is only used for clean stuff

I can't seem to do anything with an Esquire switch that isn't master volume/master tone. I am putting one in a 4-knob Jazzmaster, but that has two blend knobs. So I dunno how to help you. I'm sure someone else will though.
