Re: 490R and 498T pick-ups
I agree. I played 3 Studio's at my favorite music store. They were set up great and all but something (for me) was missing. That's when I noticed the swamp ash Lester. I bought my swamp ash Les Paul Studio about 2 week's ago. So far I really like the bridge pickups a lot. It has a even response and just seems to have the right amount of everything. Nice, tight articulate sound. I'm still working with the neck pickup, and I can see where people would say it's muddy, or a bit darker sounding. But I'm getting a bit closer by using the toggle switch in the middle and playing with the volume controls. My first Les Paul and I love it!!
