4x12 green back cab' circa 1970's.

Hey guys,

Ive got the oppertunity to by a 4x12 closedback fender cab, fitted with 1977' Celestion greenbacks, for a decent price.
How much would you guys pay? Just checking to make sure i'm not getting ripped off

If the speaker codes are correct, and assuming no re-cones or damage, that is a $400-$600 cabinet in the states. However, in Australia, the market could be completely different. Take you best head, and see how she sounds.

hmmm yeah that sounds about right. Its all in great condition, i'm thinking about pairing it up with a Vox 30 head, or a Orange 30 head.

Which Fender cab? Vintage silver grill or the Custom Shop Tonemaster tan/oxblood type?

In the UK that would go for about £350-400 ($700-800). I recently got an old Orange 4 x 12 with Greenbacks from the 70's and it's fantastic.. If you've got a good deal I'd snap it up... the newer Greenbacks just aren't as warm or smooth! All the best.

hehe, i'm getting it for 400 dollars australian...so thats like 150/200 pounds...300 us...
