5-Way Switch Education Required

I'm trying to understand the operation of the switch positions. I have little electrical knowledge.
In position #1, selecting the bridge humbucker, on the "A" side contact 1 and Common (C, at the bottom) are selected. On the "B" side it's 1 and Common (at the top).
I understand the "B" side. Perfect.
My question: on the "A" side, why are the 250K Tone and Volume, on Common, not sending signal to the humbucker?

It is. Or more accurately, the humbucker is sending signal to the middle vol/tone. So you have:

1. Bridge goes to 500k vol/tone just as you'd expect.
3,4,5. N/M go to 250k vol/tone, just as you'd expect.

2. Bridge goes to 500k vol/tone, in parallel with middle to 250k vol/tone.

There's no way to make an independent mixer with passive components. But it should be ok. It's a somewhat ordinary HSS wiring scheme. Should sound fine.

Got it! Thanks. I thought, with the "A" side #1 position connected to the humbucker, there would be "A" Common interference. But, with no wiring from "A" 1, I guess there's no signal going anywhere. It does sound fine. I appreciate the knowledge increase!

Yes. If I'm reading that diagram correctly, the "A" side is disconnected in the #1 (bridge position). As it should be.
