5 way wiring with humbuckers?

How could i wire a guitar with two humbuckers with a 5 way with 8 poles so that position 2 is the pups split so its the inside coils and position 4 is the outside coils, or vice versa. Maybe a wiring diagram? Thanks.

I guess you mean 8 LUGS, 2 POLES.
I bet you need a super-switch for that (4 POLES, 20 Lugs) or some of the very special Ibanez ones, or some Mega-switch that has that trick.

This isn't using a standard strat style 5 way switch though. It looks like one, but it's not. It's a switch made by Cortek specifically for Ibanez. You'll need the special Ibanez Cortek 3PS1SC5 switch, or go get a super switch or mega switch.

yep. there is a Megaswitch that has these two sounds. it's the one that copies the PRS 5-way rotary switch:

but its third middle sound is a series one--kinda lame.

you can also use a super-switch to get the same combinations that that special Ibanez switch gives. some Ibanez guitars used a super-switch for that instead of that special switch. if you look for wiring diagrams for e.g. the RG2027X or RG2020X, they should show the schematic of how to do that.
