50 Year Old Les Paul + Round Metal File + Some Tuners That Didn't Fit

Aceman

I am your doctor of love!
Did this end in disaster? Am I mad? I started with this 1973 Les Paul (Jaci by name). Pristine condition. PAF/SuperDistortion loaded. While at a guitar show many years ago (with Bass Medic (RIP) I found some 70's Grover Pearl Tuners.

So I did this:

I removed the old Krappy Klusons, used a round 3/8 file to drill/file just a little bit, slid them on and used the bottom screw hole from the Klusons. Total success! Unless you wanted a near mint LP with DiMarzios. Whatever...

I got it because I wanted this.

I'll save my assessment until I see that third humbucker in the middle position.

I may never do that.
Or I may find a way to do it "on occasion."

Like a ring and humbucker cut way in half flat-wise, and stuck to the finish if I want it there.
Or maybe I go balls out and do it permanently AND add smoke!

I'm never selling it, so why not?
