500k pot with JB jr ?

I want to install a JB jr in the bridge position on my strat but since it's really a humbucker do I change the volume pot to a 500k? If I do, will that make the neck and middle single coils sound like poo? Also, if i want to replace the middle pickup with a different single coil does it need to be RWRP or does it matter? I would like to be able to get that cool out of phase sound between the neck and middle. I'm kind of new to working on strats so any info would be helpfull. Thanks.

Most people don't make the change, but IMO the JB JR. does sound more lively with a set of 500K pots. However, if you have vintage style single coils for the neck and middle the 500K pots might make them to bright. So I can't say that I'd recommend the change to 500K pots...at least not for everyone. Lew

i think the best compromise is to use a 250k volume with no tone on the bridge
