500k pots with Single Coils?

Hey guys, I consider buying concentric pots, but they seem to be available only in 500k... so anyone ever used 500k tone/volume pots with Singlecoils? What did it sound like?

A 500K volume pot with single coils is a too high value : your pickups will sounds too bright and harsh ! But it depends of the single coil model and your kind of music. If you have high output single coils, it would be possible to go for a 500K. But if warmth is important for you, go for a 250K. With a 500K, you loose also tonal differences between the 1-5 positions (for strat). 3 and 5 could be a little bit the same and that's a pitty.
But all of that is my opinion...

l've got a 500K volume pot with 2 Hot Stacks and 1 JB Jr (minihumbucker in bridge position) and that's great for the JB but not really for the single coils.
I plan to put a resitor at the volume pot to reduce the value of the 500K (to 400 or 350K...) : a good mix. Next time when i have to change the strings...
