50's mod (2 volume and 1 tone)

I already know how to do (and have done) the 50's mod on les paul style guitars where you just connect the resistor acrossed the middle terminals of the volume pots instead of the end ones, however I am not sure how to do this mod on my guitar with 2 volumes and 1 tone with a coil split. I have searched the forum and have found out that I have to connect the resister right before the output jack but I am unsure how to do this (I have not found a schematic). Can someone either draw this out or explain CLEARLY what I have to do. Right now the resistor is connected to the middle terminal and grounded. The end terminal has a wire comming from the middle position of the 3-way toggle switch and then another going to the output jack. Can anyone please explain exactly what has to go to what. Thanks.

I am...connect your tone pot to the output jack. That'll do the trick! Lew

The tone does go to the output on the end terminal (where the signal comes in from the toggel) and the middle terminal has the resistor which is connected to ground. What do I have to change?

Wire the tone pot like you would do it on a Les Paul...except don't connect the tone pot to your volume control. Instead make the connection to the hot terminal of the output jack itself. Or to the output of the switch that leads to the output jack....same thing. Lew

Go to www.hamerfanclub.com and download a wiring diagram for the Sunburst Archtop. Hamer guitars have two volumes and one tone, and they wire up some of their models with the 50's mod.
