50th anniversary Nevermind The Bollocks JCM800

This is wrong on so many levels. First off, they are hideous. During the Nevermind The Bollocks days, Steve Jones used a Fender Twin and later a Music Man combo. When I saw him in the 90s he was using a JCM 800. These amps have nothing to do with that album or era.

Yea the internet Holy Grail shit ruiened that.
I remember about 2001 my buddy got his 2204/1960a for $500. Year or so later I got a 2210 for $300 and brand new 1960ax for $689 in the box shipped to my door and a Laney 4x12 for $100 other freind got his 2203 for $400.
Hell I paid $725 for my old SL-X 50W head new.
Then the web said All this" best amp ever" " rock gods" thing now they are off the chart.
To be honest....they are OK but not what they are made out to be.

Hah. I like the colour scheme. Pink tolex with yellow front? Yes please! Other than being overpriced, they look super cool. Wouldn't expect it to sound like the Sex Pistols . . . but why would you? The Sex Pistols weren't popular because they sounded good.

Listen to NTB again, the multitracking Steve Jones did was amazing, especially for a person who had never been in a studio before. It is a well-engineered album, especially when compared to other albums from the same period.
