Thanks so much....My 5150 is the first model that came out in the 90's which I understand from doing some research is best one Peavey made...when I use it i use the rhythm channel not the high gain channel. I also use it with an old 1970's Marshall cab with 25 watt Celestion greenbacks. I used a Xotic RC Booster in front of the amp vol 7, bass 5, treble 6, gain 5....Settings on the amp are as follows:
treble 8
mid 7
bass 4
pre gain 8
master 3
presence 7
resonance 4
both bright and crunch buttons on....the amp also sounds very good without the RC Booster..I used the RC to fatten up the single coil PU's in my old strat....with a humbucker you don't need the RC. Good luck...hope that helps.
