54 Custom Shop Strat pickups

I have a masterbuilt 54 stratocaster with the stock Abigail Ybarra wound pickups. The neck pickup has annoying static from decent to loud playing levels. Anyone else heard of this problem? (when I mix it with the middle pickup it stops)

Yes. It's 60 cycle hum. It stops when combined with the middle pickup because the mid is RW/RP in relation to the neck pickup.

Would switching to Antiquity's solve the problem? Its more of a distinct crackling noise rather than a hum.

Is it crackling when you play or all the time?

I'd also check the switch too.

Sounds like a bad switch or a bad connection somewhere in the guitar. Switching to the neck & middle combination may eliminating the static because a better connection at the switch is being made. Just a guess....but I'd be checking the switch. Even new ones are sometimes bad.
