59 bassman ri owners, a question for you...

are yours kinda noisy when you turn them up? i turn mine up, not even half way and it hums like i have a bad ground... could be the building, its an OLD house. i just got one a few weeks ago and i love it. i can deal with the noise, i was just wondering if anyone else has this issue.....

They are a little bit noisier than some amps, but only when loud. It's more likely that you have dirty electricity, like I do. It's the bane of my existence to have a place that has noisy electricity. I think it's from sharing a common ground with other residences, and they run airconditioners and washing machines etc.

sorry, i have been at work, i couldnt reply until now..... anywho, yes everything is stock. i read on the fender forum about changing the ss rectifier out to a tube...i hope that makes sense, as i know nothing about amps, only guitars
